Earl Thomas Lee of Shelbyville, TX, formerly of Washington County, passed away June 30, 2005 at his residence. He was born on March 18, 1938 at Stoney Point a son of the late Fred Lee and Ola Mae (Henderson) Lee.
Earl was united in marriage to Vivian Vandergriff on December 8, 1962 at Potosi, Missouri and three sons were born to this union. Earl was proud to be a member of the Irondale Masonic Lodge # 143. He was a loving husband, father, pa pa and great pa pa.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers William, Frank, Charles, Clifford and Bobby Lee.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Vivian Lee, three sons, William Lee of Farmington, Randy Lee and wife Kathryn of Ebo, and Ronald Lee and wife Lori of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Richard Lee and wife Barbara of WY and Wayne Lee of Caledonia; five sisters, Geneva Hammond of TX, Ruby Gilstrap and husband Earnest of DeSoto, Violet Briggs of Valle Mines, Shirley Griffard of Perryville and Freta Branham and husband Ed of Valles Mines; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and many other relative and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Sunday July 3, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Ronald Payne officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Lee, Wayne Lee, Ronald Lee, Brian Lee, Larry Vandergriff and Ed Branham.
Interment was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi
