Ethel Rowena Allen of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 30, 1931 in Greeley, Missouri, a daughter of the late Less B. Isgriggs and Edith (Fitts) Isgriggs. Rowena went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, having reached the age of 92.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her two children: Clyde T. Allen Jr (Wife, Karen), William Craig "Bill" Allen (wife, Yunqing Liu); Jimmie Moore, who was like a son to her; three grandchildren: Courtney Allen, Kelsey Crider (husband, Branden), Greg Battreal (wife, Angie); four great grandchildren: Cole, Hannah, Everett, Theo; great-great grandson, Kaysen; and special friend, Joann Eye. She also was survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Rowena was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde T. Allen Sr.; siblings: Damon Isgriggs, Clyde Isgriggs, Ewel Isgriggs, and Gladine Benson.
Rowena was a very talented and smart registered nurse, spending 60 years in active nursing. She even received a 50-year certificate from the State of Missouri. She was a blood donor, donating over 9 gallons of blood. She enjoyed traveling in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Israel. She loved spending time with family, especially her granddaughters, gardening, cooking, sewing and visitation work. She attended Potosi First Assembly of God Church when she was able.
The family will hold a private graveside service at New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi.
