Douglas Luther

Douglas Lee Luther, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 3, 1959, a son to the late Robert Luther and the late Marry Lillian (Coleman) Luther. On July 4, 1994, Douglas was united in marriage to Nancy McCarron and they shared twenty-four years together. During his life, some of Douglas’ favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed having family BBQ’s. Most of all, Douglas loved to spend time with his grandkids, they meant the world to him.

Douglas entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Country Meadows Nursing Home having reached fifty-eight years of age.

Douglas will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Nancy Luther of Potosi; son, Douglas Luther, Jr. and fiancé Danielle Suhling of Potosi; daughter, Crystal Luther and fiancé Robert Fike of Potosi; step-children: Donna Roth and Jerry of High Ridge, and Jole Beckman and Roger of Waterloo, Illinois; brothers: Robert “Bob” Luther and Deanna, Paul Luther and Faye, and Danny Luther; sisters: Mary Politte, Karen Kincaid and Glennon Coleman, Erma Jean Robertson, and Barbara Politte; six grandchildren: Tate Luther, Khylee Luther, Thomas Suhling, Logan Luther, Nathan Skaggs, and Nicole Skaggs; also surviving are many dear step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is preceded in death by his siblings: Junior Luther, Billy Luther, and Catherine Juliette; and step-son, Brent Barton.

A Memorial Service for Douglas was held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1PM, held at the Rose of Sharon Apostolic Church, with Pastor Alvin O’Neal officiating. Rose of Sharon Apostolic Church is located at 10015 Harper Road State Highway E, Cadet, Missouri, 63630.
