Douglas Abney

Douglas Kent Abney of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 11, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of forty five years, one month and four days. He was born on August 7, 1964 at Festus, Missouri a son to Lowell Abney and Betty (DeClue) Wolfe.

Douglas was preceded in death by his grandparents David Abney and Goldie Abney.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are his father Lowell Abney of Arkansas; mother Betty Wolfe of Florida; sister Deanna Graham and husband Waylon of Mineral Point; fianc? Renee Wallace of Potosi; niece Heather Sweatt of Alabama; two uncles Bill Abney and wife Erlene of Hillsboro; Les Abney of Festus; best friend Tracey Lovell; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Clyde Anderson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Waylon Graham, Bob Thebeau, Billy Thebeau, Tracy Lovell, Bob Abney and Timothy Abney.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Lower Indian Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
