Dorothy Mosier

Dorothy Louise Mosier of Potosi, Missouri was born on June 21, 1930 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter to the late Luther William Hamby and the late Rose Ellen (Barton) Hamby. On September 16, 1947, Dorothy was united in marriage to David Albert Mosier. Dorothy went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 22, 2018 having reached the age of eighty-eight.

Survivors include her five children: Rita Rook, Connie Miller, Glenda (Jim) Harbison, Diana Miller, Sharon Koch; two brothers: Paul “Pete” Hamby, Kenny (Kay) Hamby; three sisters: Beulah DeClue, Mary Christopher, Kathy (Jim) Jarvis; twelve grandchildren: Ed (Stephanie) Rook, Angela (John) Ruxlow, Jason (Larissa) Rook, Lisa Boyer, Michelle Hardin, Jimmy (Crystal) Harbison, Chris (Gina) Harbison, Sheila (Donnie) Marler, Crystal Turntine, Robin Waddell, Brian (Keri) Koch, Lacey (Bill) Dwyer; brothers-in-law: Ralph Drake and Carl Crocker; sisters-in-law: Lucy Hamby and Lea Hamby; also surviving are numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Albert Mosier; granddaughters: Pam Harbison and Kelly McCubbins; sons-in-law: Glen Rook, Rick Turntine, Russell Miller; seven brothers: Luther Hamby Jr., Bobby Hambey, Vernon Hamby, Ronald Hamby, Orville Hamby, Walter Hamby and Dannie Hamby; five sisters: Norma Jean Hamby, Velma Hamby, Verna Crocker, Loretta Brewer and Annetta Drake; brothers-in-law: Oliver DeClue and Corcky Christopher; sisters-in-law: Leslie Hamby, Cleo Hambey and Dorothy Lee Hamby; and special friend Pete Portell.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will follow on Monday at 2 p.m. held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with her niece, Deanna Clapp, sharing words of comfort, and her granddaughter, Sheila Marler, giving the Eulogy.

Interment and final prayers will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi. Funeral Arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
