Dorothy Lawson

March 16, 1919 — June 23, 2010

Dorothy Naomi Lawson of Ironton, Missouri departed this life June 23, 2010 at her residence having reached the age of ninety one years, three months and seven days. She was born on March 16, 1919 at Elvins, Missouri a daughter to the late David Douglas and Florence (Fryman) Douglas.

Dorothy was a member of the Ozark Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Pat Lawson, Sr.; two daughters Janice Williams, Patricia Lawson; two sons Pat Lawson, Jr., Paul Lawson; brother Monroe Douglas; sister Wilma Burghard; two grandchildren Leslie DeWayne Strickland and Wilbert ?Bert? Courtney.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are five daughters Bev Lawson of Ironton; Dorothy ?Cissie? Hopping and husband David of Ironton; Pauline Breier and husband Henry of St. Louis; Margo Lawson of St. Louis; Lisa Novelly and husband Greg of Colorado; two sons Monroe Lawson wife Betty of Ironton; Michael Lawson and wife Sharon of Park Hills; twenty one grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friend who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Bro. Bryan Meade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Monny Lawson, Aaron Binkley, Bobby Breier, Ben Lawson, Jeremy Lawson, and Cody Lawson. Honorary pallbearers were Bryan Lawson, Mathew Lawson, and Richard Brinkley.

Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
