Dorothy Cooley

Dorothy Cover Callahan Cooley of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on July 12, 2005 at the Parkland Health Center, having reached the age of 78 years, 1 month and 14 days. She was born on May 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Cover and Lonna (Johnston) Cover.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John Edward Callahan, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Cover, Nadine Cover and Betty Ann Cover; two brothers, Eugene Cover and Elwood Cover; a daughter-in-law, Bev Callahan; and three grandchildren, Angie Callahan, Tiffany Callahan and John Edward Callahan.
Those remaining to mourn Dorothy?s passing include her sons, Raymond Cover and his wife, Deloise of Mineral Point, Francis Sancegraw and his wife, Gloria of Potosi, Walter Callahan and his wife, Kathy of Mineral Point, George Callahan and his wife, Lucy of Potosi and Curtis Callahan of Mineral Point; three sisters, Bernice Downard of Potosi, Vivian Woods of Marston, and Rosie Cox of Branson; two brothers, Junior Cover and his wife Marie of Potosi, and Donald Cover of Potosi, 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 AM Friday, July 15, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with the Rev. Guy Conway officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Rusty Sancegraw, Jason Callahan, Dennis Callahan, Raymond Anthony Cover, Jeff Cover and Jeremy Luck Callahan.
Interment was in Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
