Dorothy Omega Carlton of Pilot Knob, formerly of Ironton, Missouri departed this life on May 17, 2011 at the Southbrook Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty eight years, one month and one day. She was born on April 16, 1923 at Annapolis, Missouri a daughter to the late Ira Risher and Ella Mae (Inman) Risher.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Noel Carlton; son Floyd Edward Carlton; brother John Risher and two sisters Juanita Jane Haven and Alpha Busch.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are three brothers Charles Risher and wife Betty of Ironton, Vernon Risher and wife Paula of Pilot Knob, Ira Risher and wife Karen of St. Louis; two sisters Donna Robinson of St. Louis, Wilma Rehkop of St. Charles; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
