Dorothy June Adams of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on January 29, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of eighty one years, nine months and seventeen days. She was born on April 17, 1930 at Greenville, Missouri a daughter to the late Joe Kean and June (McGhee) Kean.
Dorothy was a member of the Covenant Grace Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Adams, infant son Roger Adams, daughter Vernie Rulo, son in law Larry Battreal, granddaughter Becky Breakfield, grandson Rocky Turner, brother Bobby Kean, three sisters Brenda Ames, Laverna Drennen and an infant sister Wanda Kean.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are six sons Gene Adams and wife Donna of Mineral Point; Dale Adams and wife Marcia of Mineral Point; Darrell Adams and wife Kim of Mineral Point; Gary Adams and wife Peggy of Mineral Point; Vic Adams and wife Krayle of Mineral Point; Donnie Adams and wife Alison of Potosi; two daughters Mary Lou Battreal of Potosi; Glenda Campbell and husband Rev. Steven of Mineral Point; son in law Ray Rulo of Cadet; granddaughter she raised Renee Adams Cantrell and husband Chuck of Potosi; two brothers Roy Kean and wife Barb of Mineral Point; Floyd Kean and wife Shirley of Mineral Point; three sisters Betty Jo Drennen and husband Ervin of Mineral Point; Rosemary Bowles of Potosi; Noma Fay Goodson and husband Johnny of Potosi; twenty six grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Thurman and Rev. Steven Campbell officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Gene Adams, Dale Adams, Darrell Adams, Gary Adams, Vic Adams, Donnie Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Campbell, Ray Rulo, Buster Adams and Charlie Worley.
Interment and final prayers were held at the New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
