Donna Ganelle “Polly” Jinkerson of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on July 26, 2010 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of seventy eight years, eight months and twelve days. She was born on November 14, 1931 at Palmer, Missouri a daughter to the late Fritz Halbert and Mable (Hutching) Halbert.
Aunt Polly was a special person and she showed it in everything she did. She was very giving of her time to her church, quilting, helping out with the Palmer Cemetery and other organizations. Polly loved kids and her cats. When visiting her she always had a “soda pop” to give you.
In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death also by Otto Farrell and Leona Halbert Farrell, who had raised her as a baby; her husband Kenneth Jinkerson; brother Woodrow Halbert; three sisters Eva Wilkinson, Hazel Walters, Marie Sutton; sister in law Rino Halbert; brother Thomas Wilkinson; mother and father in law Daisy and Thurston Jinkerson;
Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sisters Freda Dudley and husband Willard of Stockton; Pearl Woods and husband Herman of Potosi; brother Noel Halbert of Belgrade; her extended family The Cecil Sutton Family of Belgrade; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Brenda West officiating. Serving as pallbearers were John Woods, Ben Jinkerson, Tyler Vogt, Mike Halbert, Ron Thomason and Bob Coleman.
Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
