Donald Rolla Wilson of Potosi, Missouri entered into rest on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty seven years, two months and twenty four days. He was born on September 6, 1927 at Potosi, Missouri, a son to the late Rolla H. Wilson and Maude (Minks) Wilson.
On June 16, 1956, Donald was united in marriage to Dorothy Jane Dickinson and they shared fifty three years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are one son Jan Kevin Wilson of Potosi, Missouri; two daughters Roxanne Crippen and husband Mike of Cadet, Missouri; Dawn Rasnic and husband Mark of DeSoto, Missouri; two half-brothers Bobby Sloan of Florida; Billy Sloan of California; half-sister Norma Brewer; nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy Jane Wilson; one brother Eddie R. Wilson; three sisters Doris Davis; Mary Peters and Loretta Greenlee.
Funeral services for Donald were conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty officiating.
Honoring Donald by serving as pallbearers were Joshua Rasnic, Caleb Crippen, Jared Crippen, Ian Wilson, Sean Wilson and Elijah Wilson.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with full military honors presented by the United States Army and Local VFW Post 6996.
All funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
