Donald Walton

December 17, 1930 — April 22, 2008

Donald Bee Walton of Potosi, Missouri, departed this life on April 22, 2008 at his residence, having reached the age of seventy seven years, four months and five days. He was born on December 17, 1930 at St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Nona Walton.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, David Lee Walton; daughter-in-law, Dorcas Walton; and granddaughter, Michelle June Walton.

He was a member of the Potosi United Methodist Church for sixty-five years, a member of Methodist Men Association and was Head Usher for many years.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his loving wife, Neva Walton of Potosi; a daughter, Linda Runnels and husband, Larry of Mineral Point; two sons, Randy Walton and wife, Robyn of Potosi, Steve Walton of Potosi; seven grandchildren, Brad Harbison and wife Kim of North Carolina, Derrick Harbison and wife, Chris of St. Clair, Ryan Harbison and wife, Denise of Potosi, Melanie Elliott and husband, Randy of Potosi, Randall Walton and wife, Nickole of Kansas City, Chad Walton of Potosi, Jessica Wilkinson of Farmington, Toni Kozemski and husband, Dean of Bismarck; eleven great-grandchildren, Morgan Elliott, Haley Elliott, Courtney Elliott, Grayson Walton, Garin Walton, Garrett Harbison, Alex Kopp, Elizabeth Kopp, Jeffery Harbison, Mary Lynn Harbison, Devon Harbison; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri, with Rev. Jerry Compton officiating. Those serving as pallbearers were Brad Harbison, Derrick Harbison, Ryan Harbison, Randall Walton, Randy Elliott and Mike Mapes.

Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care Inc., P.O. Box 1000, Park Hills, MO 63601, or Potosi United Methodist Church.

All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
