Donald Ray Littrell of Blackwell, Missouri, was born on November 29, 1951, a son of the late William Littrell and the late Elsie (Vest) Littrell. Donald Ray passed away on December 11, 2021, having reached the age of seventy years, and twelve days.
Don married Sarah Faye Evans on November 25, 1972 in DeSoto, MO at the Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Miller. They were married 47 years at the time of Sarah's passing in 2019.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his son, Kevin (Samantha) Evans Sr; grandchildren: Kevin (Jade) Evans Jr, Kalub (Mikayla) Evans, and Liam Evans; siblings: Willard Littrell, Betty (George) Bradley, Laverne Thurmond, Art Littrell, and Kenny (Sally) Littrell; special sister-in-law, Donna Littrell. Also surviving are other dear brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Donald Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Littrell; children: Margorie May, Regina Faye, and Angel; siblings: Opal McCluskey, Barbara Williams, Margie Sansoucie, Herbie Littrell , Muril Littrell, Rita Grow, and David Littrell. He was also preceded in death by many other in-laws and family.
Donald Ray was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ as a young boy before 1966 in Little Indian Creek. In 2009, Donald Ray was diagnosed with throat cancer and had surgery to remove it, yet it persisted with only being unable to speak more than a whisper. The Lord Jesus performed a miracle upon Donald Ray after that and he regained some of his voice back. It was strong enough where he could begin to preach again. He ministered to all about the great plan of salvation and baptism. He was never too busy to stop and talk about Jesus or to pray for those in need of prayer, even in the middle of the isles at Walmart. He encouraged the brethren, always willing to share the hope of Heaven to one more soul.
