Donald Roy Pittman of Potosi, Missouri formerly of Eldon, Missouri was born on November 16, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to the late Andrew Franklin Pittman and the late Mary Elizabeth (Roy) Pittman. On March 18, 1951, Don was united in marriage to Vada June Weekly and five sons were born to this union. After Vada’s passing, Don later married Imogene Silvey on December 27, 1998.
Don went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 2, 2018 having reached the age of eighty-six.
Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving wife, Imogene Pittman of Potosi; four sons: Andrew (Rhonda) Pittman of Eldon, Missouri; Randy (Lisa) Pittman of Jefferson City; Milo (Denise) Pittman of Loose Creek, Missouri; Byron (Dawn) Pittman of Jefferson City; four step children: Kelley (Kathy) Silvey of Potosi; Rev. Roger (Donna) Silvey of Steelville, Missouri; Marty (Robert) Avila of Bonne Terre; Jennie (Gary) Miller of Farmington; daughter-in-law, Barbara Silvey-Albert; twenty-two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. In addition, Don also leaves behind his puppy dog, Lulu.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his first wife Vada June Pittman; infant son, Myron Pittman; step son John Steven Silvey; three sisters: Mavis Charboneau, Lucille Sanders and Violet Evans.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Potosi.
A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Officiated by Rev. Roger Silvey assisted by Pastor Jim Ainley, Pastor Gary Greenlee and a Eulogy by Klinton Silvey.
Interment and final Prayers will be held at the Eldon Cemetery at 1 p.m., Eldon, Missouri.
