Donald Kearns

Donald Gene Kearns of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on February 20, 2013 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty eight years, five months and twenty four days. He was born on August 27, 1944 in Leadington, Missouri a son to the late Clarence E. Kearns and Margie (Cheesebrough) Kearns.

On January 18, 1964, Donald was united in marriage to Janet Worden and they shared forty nine years together.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Janet Kearns of Potosi; daughter Kimberly Kearns Martin and husband William of Caledonia; son Steven Kearns and wife Deborah of Park Hills; brothers Thomas P. Kearns and wife Brenda of Terre Du Lac; Edwin "Ed" Kearns and wife Ellen of Belgrade; Richard B. Kearns and wife Barbara of Chesterfield; sister Diane McNabb and husband Ralph of Pacific; five grandchildren Kayme Martin Portell and husband Kevin, Karey Martin Civey and husband Jordan, Kristopher Kearns and wife Jessica, Kody Martin and wife Jessica, Brandon Kearns; five great grandchildren Kalley Portell, Kassidy Portell, Kyndra Gormley, Karleigh Kearns, Kyleigh Kearns and Jax Civey due in March; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kristopher Kearns, Kody Martin, Brandon Kearns, Kevin Portell, Jordan Civey and Brian Stobart.

Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
