Donald Blount

Donald Gene Blount, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 26, 2006 at Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age of 67 years, 10 months and 8 days. He was born January 18, 1939 at Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Edwin L. ?Mutt? Blount and Gladys Lucille (Schrum) Blount.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Donald Gene Blount, Jr.; two sisters, Corinne Edwards and Wilma Trokey.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter, Donna Blount of Potosi; two sons, Jeff Blount and wife Lisa of Cadet, Dennis Blount and wife Tabitha of Hopewell; a sister Laverna Kay and husband Bob of Potosi; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel in Potosi, Missouri, with Rev. Thomas Slovensky officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Dale Bobbett, Floyd Medley, Paulie Schrum, Steve Shepard, JJ Blount and Steve Trokey.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
