Dolly Haffer

June 25, 1932 — January 20, 2017

Dolly Ruth Haffer of Berryman, Missouri was born on June 25, 1932 in Crawford County, Missouri, a daughter to the late Otis Harmon and Mae (Merritt) Harmon. On September 11, 1953 Dolly was united in marriage to Melvin Kenneth Haffer and there were four children born to this union. They shared sixty three years together.

Dolly went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday evening, January 20, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family having reached the age of eighty four years, six months and twenty six days.

Dolly will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband Melvin Haffer of Berryman; four children: Linda Nettles and husband Joseph of Berryman; Kenny Haffer and wife Tammy of Berryman; Dennis Haffer and wife Kris of Berryman; Denise Harbison and husband Ryan of Berryman; seven grandchildren: Joe Nettles III of Festus; Jim Forrester of Potosi; Sandy Conway and husband Danny of Potosi; Daryn Haffer and fiancé Maddison of St. Louis; Daysha Haffer of DeSoto; Eli Shifflett of Logansport, IN.; Devon Harbison of Berryman; six great grandchildren: Kourtney Conway; Alyssa Sadler and husband Brent; Alyssa Forrester; Blair Nettles; Kaylee Nettles and Kenneth James Shifflett; three sisters: Bessie Benson of Pocahontas, AR.; Virginia Medley and husband Charles of Potosi; Grace Dotson and husband Bill of Steelville; sister-in-law Beulah Harmon of Berryman; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Alexis Forrester; four sibling: Arthur Harmon, Linnie Harmon, Clifford Harmon and Vern Driemeyer.

Visitation will be at the DeClue Funeral Home Monday, January 23, 2017 from 4:30-8 PM and Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 9-11 AM.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Hudson and Rev. Charles Medley officiating. Musical selections will be provided by David and Ella Jo Bishop and Mike and Lois Morgan.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Haffer Cemetery, Steelville, MO. Honoring Dolly by serving as pallbearers are Joe Nettles III, Daryn Haffer, Devon Harbison, Danny Conway, David Couch, Ricky Wright and Eugene Dicus.
