Dillon Brinkley

Dillon Thomas Brinkley, precious infant son of David and Melissa Brinkley of Mineral Point, was born on September 24, 2007, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington and was transferred to Cardinal Glennon Hospital where he spent the first six weeks of his life before going home with his family. He departed this life on February 7, 2008, and is now being cradled in the arms of Jesus. Even though God?s plan for Dillon?s life was not what his loved ones hoped, he brought much love and joy to his family.

Dillon is survived by his parents, David and Melissa (Day) Brinkley; two brothers, David and Dawson; two sisters, Jennifer and his twin sister, Makayla; loving grandparents, Cindy Brinkley of Bismarck, David and Janet Brinkley of Poplar Bluff, Sarah Day of Park Hills; great grandmothers, Beradene Brinkley of Bismarck, Catherine Buesking of Potosi, Juanita Day of Belgrade and Lillian Parker of Park Hills; uncles and aunts, Nathan and Amy Brinkley, Luke and Kim Brinkley of Bismarck, Eric and Tonya Day and Brian and Katie Day, all of Mineral Point; cousins, Kailey and Ashley Brinkley, Breanna, J.R. and Abby Day.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather LaVondel (Eddie) Day and great-grandparents, Woody and Earlene Jones, James Brinkley, L.C. (Red) Day and Rev. Denver Parker.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Debra Wigger officiating.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Layne Cemetery, with all arrangements entrusted in the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
