Diana Faye Schutz of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on July 11, 1951 in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter of the late Lester Cleo Mosier and Wilma Lee (Tedder) Mosier. Diana passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, having reached the age of 73.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her three children: Thomas D. Schutz, Travis Schutz (wife, Angie), Misty Marler (husband, Kevin); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister: Rhonda Vandergriff (husband, Roger); two brothers: Donald Mosier (wife, Kathy), Mickey Mosier; and sister-in-law, Debra Cawley. Diana is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In additional to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Schutz; infant brother, Luther Lester Mosier; sister-in-law: Charlotte (Lou) Mosier; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernst and Geraldine Schutz; and nephew, Brian Vandergriff.
On June 28, 1969, Diana was united in marriage to Thomas D. Schutz and they shared fifty years of life and love together. Diana departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of joy, warmth, and countless memories. A devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest pride was her family, whom she cherished above all else. Her creative passions included crafting, drawing, painting, cake baking and decorating, and sewing, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She also lovingly tended to her chickens. Her thrifty nature led her to scour Goodwill for hidden gems and yard sales for bargains. Above all, she took great care in caring for her entire family, always putting their needs before her own. Her selfless love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Graveside Service will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11 a.m., held at the Mosier Family Cemetery in Mineral Point. Diana’s son-in-law, Kevin Marler will officiate her service.
