Delores Marie Sumpter of Farmington, Missouri, was born on February 1, 1940 in St Francois County, a daughter of the late James Marvin Lawson and Cathleen (Williams) Nash. Delores passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, having reached the age of 84.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: Margaret Junker, Sandy Horne, Stacey Young (husband, Travis), Dennis Sumpter (wife, Julia), Clarence "JR" Woods (wife, Monica), James Woods (wife, Tammy); grandchildren: Jeremy, Joshua, Charles, Ashley, Morgandee, Nicholas, Mary Beth, Matthew, Cory, Stephanie, Alice, Amadonna, Amanda, James, Ashley; many great grandchildren; siblings: Vera Thebeau, Joe Lawson (wife, Joann), and Debbie Strobl (husband, Mike); and special cousin, Austin (wife, Lisa). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her father & step-mother, Marvin Lawson (Carrie), mother & step-father, Cathleen Nash (Jess); father of her children: Clarence Woods, Darrell Sumpter, Clyde Booth; daughter, Goldie Bryant; grandsons: Justin Obado, and Joshua "Buddy" Sumpter.
No services will be held.
