Delores Loraine Sparks of Farmington, Missouri passed away on August 23, 2015 at the Parkland Liberty Hospital having reached the age of eighty five years, three months, and twenty days. She was born on May 3, 1930 in Belgrade, Missouri to the late James and Olive (Tedder) Jenkins.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her three daughters: Glenda Wallace and husband Eric of Farmington, Missouri, Donita Tressner of Desloge, Missouri, and Sharon Benson and husband Wally of California; brother Jimmy Jenkins and wife Becky of Belgrade, Missouri; four sisters: Leona Boelloni of Marion, Illinois, Shelba LaClair and husband Lee of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brenda Powell of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jenny Ann Rhea and husband Jim of Farmington, Missouri; five grandchildren: Tyler Wilson and wife Sonya, Melissa Portell and Gary Stull, Tennille Montgomery and husband Mike, Matthew Tressner, and Cindy Nunez and husband Howdy; nine great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
In addition to her parents, Delores is preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell Sparks; four brothers: Gary Jenkins, Ronald Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, and Carl "Buck" Jenkins; two sisters: Nancy Jenkins and Vivian Sisk; two grandchildren: Christopher Vogelsang and Brian Tressner; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard and Virgilean Link and Norman and Ruby Stephen.
Visitation for Delores was held on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2015 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Funeral services for Delores began at 12:00 PM on August 26, 2015 in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Honoring Delores by serving as her pallbearers were Matthew Tressner, Michael Montgomery, Jimmy Sisk, Steve Littell, Carl Littell, and Shawn Jenkins.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
All funeral arrangements were cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
