Della L. Bourbon, Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 8, 2007 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 75 years, 7 months and 28 days. She was born in Crawford County, Missouri on May 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Levi Chandler and Dorothy (Neff) Chandler.
She was a member of the Caledonia Assembly of God. She loved her Church and her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Daniel Bourbon; a sister, Zelda Godbey; and a sister-in-law, Janette Chandler.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband, Raymond Bourbon, Jr. of Mineral Point; three daughters, Vicky Marshall of Desloge, Patsy Pyatt and husband Raymond of Caledonia, Gabrielle Bourbon of Desloge; a son, Timmy Bourbon of Texas; three brothers, Noel Chandler and wife Pat of St. James, Marvin Chandler of Troy, Joe Chandler of Troy; two sisters, Lois Baraba and husband Matt of DeSoto, Geraldine Valle of DeSoto; brother-in-law, Marvin Godbey of St. Louis; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Oscar Barton and Rev. Carol Brown officiating. Serving as pallbearers were William Barton, Terry Strange, Jr., Raymond Pyatt, III, Brian Bourbon, Roger Bourbon, Jr. and Larry Bourbon.
Interment and final prayers were held at Boss Cemetery with all arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
