Debra Jane Skaggs of Farmington, Missouri passed away on July 31, 2016 at her residence having reached the age of sixty years. She was born on May 17, 1956, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, a daughter to the late Cecil Albert Wood and the late Ethel Jane (Smith) Wood.
n June 21, 1975, Debra was united in marriage to Roger Skaggs at the Springtown Church of God and they shared forty one years together. Debbie was a faithful member of the Abundant Life Family Church in Farmington and devotedly served Jesus along with her husband, Roger. She loved to play the piano and sing songs of worship unto the Lord.
Debra is survived by her beloved husband, Rev. Roger Skaggs of Farmington; sister, Betty Tawfall and husband Mike of Farmington; niece, Ashley Tawfall of Farmington; In-Laws: Midge and Danny Pyatt of Mineral Point; father-in-law, Glenwood Skaggs of Mineral Point; puppy friends, Sophie and Millie; also surviving are many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wood; and mother-in-law, Iva Mae Skaggs.
Visitation for Debra was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, beginning at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rick Hensley officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
