Debra Ann Smith of Valles Mines, Missouri, was born on July 8, 1965, a daughter of the late John Riley Knight and the late Bernice Melinda (Laws) Knight. Debbie passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, having reached the age of fifty-six years, five months, and seven days.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her children: James Smith of Valles Mines and Christopher Smith of Park Hills; grandchildren: Tyler, Jace, and Phoenix; siblings: Rick (Vera) Knight, Kathy (Donnie) Mosier; special nieces: Amy Mosier and Tiffany Bridgeman; nephew, Kevin Mosier; and special friend that she adopted as her little sister, Manessa.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, John Knight and Bernice Knight; husband, Mark Smith; siblings: James Knight, Tammy Knight; mother-in-law, Gerry Courtway; sister-in-law, Debbie Courtway.
Debbie loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them on little adventures. She loved shopping at thrift stores, had a great since of humor and a heart of gold. She worked at many restaurants over the years, starting with the old A&W in Potosi (Where she met her husband), Hardee's, KFC, Cracker Barrel, Denny's and Ruby Tuesdays. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
