Deborah Eckhoff

Deborah Sue Eckhoff of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on August 15, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty seven years, five months and twenty seven days. She was born on February 19, 1952 at Mineral Point, Missouri a daughter to Maudie (Nash) Cain and the late William Skaggs.

On October 4, 1969, Deborah was united in marriage to Evert Eckhoff and they shared almost forty years together.

Deborah attended the Victory Church in Springtown.

In addition to her father, Deborah was preceded in death by step mother May Skaggs; three brothers David Skaggs, Pete Cain, Donald Cain; step father Roy Cain; father in law Charles Eckhoff; niece Ashley Skaggs and a special sister in law Sherry Skaggs.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her husband Evert Eckhoff of Potosi; mother Maudie Cain of Potosi; two daughters Julie Golden and husband Jim ?Bean? of Potosi; Debra James and friend Rusty Boyer of Mineral Point; four sons Jason Eckhoff and friend Paula Phares of Potosi; Brian Eckhoff of Bollingreen, Missouri; Jared Eckhoff and fianc? Linda Clapp of Potosi;, Nicholas Eckhoff of Potosi; six sisters Alma Sheirdian and husband Eddie of New Hampshire; Thelma Kearns and husband Will of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Brenda Castillo and husband Jerry of Potosi; Joyce Carr and husband John of Washington; Anna Grupe and husband Dane of Illinois; Linda Winick and husband Chuck of Potosi; six brothers Johny Cain of Park Hills; Evert Cain and wife Ann of Desloge; Wyman Cain of Tennessee; Ronald Cain of Tennessee; Bobby Cain of Park Hills; Larry Skaggs and wife Debbie of Potosi; mother in law Ellen Eckhoff; eighteen grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Kenny Gamble officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Nick Eckhoff, Danny Missey, Josh Boxdorfer and Derek Boxdorfer, Dennis Eckhoff, Cheynne Eckhoff, Kyle James, and Josh Hudson.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
