Dean Eugene Warner of Belgrade, Missouri, formerly of Alton Illinois, a Navy Veteran, died suddenly and spectacularly on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016. He was born on December 19, 1947 in Alton, Illinois. Dean was preceded in death by his father Nicholas Warner and his mother Mary Evelyn (Reinhardt) Warner.

Dean is survived by his sister Lorna Voss and husband Brian and a brother, Dennis Warner and wife Debby. Dean will also be missed by many other family, friends and neighbors that take solace in the fact that he died doing one of the many things he loved. He served in the Navy from March 17, 1967 through December 1, 1970. Dean received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Meritorious Unit Commendation. While proudly serving his country Dean lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Vietnam and Japan. The patriotism that Dean exuded was evident to anyone who met him.

“Loved by many, missed by all”

A memorial gathering for Dean will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664. A memorial service will commence at 12:00 PM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:15 PM concluding the service on Friday. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
