Dean Heady

Reverend Dean Gardner Heady of Farmington, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Presbyterian Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of seventy seven years five months and one day. He was born on November 26, 1936 in Champion City, Missouri, a son to the late Dean Gardner Heady Sr. and Mary Ann (White) Heady.
On March 30, 1962 Dean was united in marriage to Mitzi Ridenhour and they shared fifty two years together.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mitzi Heady of Farmington, Missouri; two daughters Jaqueline Lesh and husband Kevin of Bismark, Missouri and Jennifer Heady of Farmington, Missouri; sister Uldine Coleman of Farmington, Missouri; six grandchildren Amanda Johnson, Amia Lesh, Kevin Lesh and wife Lindsay, Skyler Henson, Logan Henson and Kaytlin Henson; five great grandchildren Lucas Monrotus, Maleayah Lesh, Presley Johnson, Havanah Lesh and Berlin Lesh; mother-in-law Lillian Ridenhour of Farmington, Missouri; two sisters-in-law Janet McKay and husband Darrell of High Ridge, Missouri, and Linda Rindenhour of Farmington, Missouri; and a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by one brother Rev. Thomas Heady, sister Della Mae Heady-Evans, father in law Jack Ridenhour.
Rev. Dean Heady began his ministry at the age of nineteen. He has been in the ministry for fifty eight years as an Assemblies of God minister. He was ordained in 1967. Brother Heady has been married for fifty two years to the love of his life, Mitzi. Together, they have two daughters that he loved and adored. He was an amazing, Godly example of love to his grandchildren. Brother and Sister Heady were evangelists for many years and pastored eight churches during that time. His ministry also included being Interim Pastor. Brother Heady loved people genuinely cared about everyone he came in contact with.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10 am at Harvest Christian Centre with Rev. Dwight Jones officiating. Memories were given by Rev. Jerry McRaven, Rev. Ronnie Raven, Rev. John Davis and Rev. Monnie Jones. Musical selections were Sweet Beulah Land, Look For Me and Amazing Grace. Honoring Brother Heady by serving as Pallbearers were Skyler Henson, Logan Henson, Danny Evans, Jay McRaven, Thomas Heady, Darrell McKay, and Richard McKay.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
