David Politte

David Allan Politte of Bonne Terre, Missouri departed this life on December 5, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, having reached the age of 58 years, 1 month, and 24 days. He was born on October 11, 1948 at St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Robert Charles Politte and Rosie Evelyn (Lee) Politte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Politte.

Dave knew Jesus Christ as his Savior from a very young age. He had a love for fishing, metal detecting and an extensive knowledge of old movies, especially John Wayne movies, but most of all, he loved and enjoyed his family and friends.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his sisters, Cleda Mayfield and husband Larry of Bonne Terre, Delores Eckhoff of Mineral Point; nephews, Larry Mayfield, Jr. and wife Jessica of Bonne Terre, Michael Eckhoff and wife Becky of Mineral Point; niece, Debbie Riddle and husband Greg of Cadet; great nieces and great nephews; great, great nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Rick Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Politte, Larry Mayfield, Jr., Amos Littrell, Tim King, Bill King and Greg Riddle.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
