David Ames

David Delaine Ames of Potosi, Missouri passed away on March 23, 2015 having reached the age of seventy one years and sixteen days. He was born on March 7, 1944 a son to the late Cleatis and Madge (Cover) Ames. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his beloved wife Virginia (Emily) Ames of Potosi, Missouri; three sons: David Ames of Hopewell, Missouri, Keith Ames of Potosi, Missouri, and Brent Ames and wife Velma of Cadet, Missouri; step-son Tony Coleman and wife Misty of Mineral Point, Missouri; step daughter Andrea Hammock and husband Bill of Festus, Missouri; brother Harold Ames and wife Mary of Potosi, Missouri; four sisters: Carolyn Nixon of Hopewell, Missouri, Marilyn Stroupe of Lake Hanna, Patsy Barczewski of St. Louis, and Barb Hammond of Potosi, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Jessica, Jeremy, Kyle, Kameron, Timothy, Brent, and Elijah; six step-grandchildren: DaKota, Kyle, Caitlin, Allison, Lauren, and Brendan; two great-grandchildren: Abigail and Kassandra; and many more extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Ames; daughter-in-law Tracy Ames; and brother Edgar Ames. Visitation for David will be held Wednesday evening, March 25, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the DeClue Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at the New Diggins Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
