Darrick Thurman

January 5, 1980 — January 13, 2009

Darrick Scott Thurman of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on January 13, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of twenty nine years and eight days. He was born on January 5, 1980 a son of Jim Thurman and Connie Snowdell Thurman.

Darrick was always full of life. He could walk into a room and make anyone laugh, no matter what. He was always smiling, laughing and could find humor in any situation. We?re sure everyone who knew Darrick has a funny story or remembrance of his. He was always the life of the party. It didn?t matter if it was a fun party, a funeral, someone in the hospital, or if you were just down, he could come off with something that would make you smile or laugh. Darrick was loved by everyone. He was a great son, there for anything, an awesome brother, a very loving father to his three children, but most of all he was a wonderful and one of a kind person.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather Rev. Elroy Thurman and a grandmother Helen Snowdell.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are wife Katherine Glore Thurman of Mineral Point; three children Emily Thurman, Alex Thurman, Austin Thurman of Mineral Point; parents Jim Thurman and Connie Thurman of Bonne Terre; sister Jamie Thurman of Park Hills; brother Jimmy Thurman II and wife Missy of Mineral Point; grandparents James Snowdell of Potosi and Virginia Thurman of Mineral Point; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, January 16, 2009 at 2PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Robert Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Snowdell, ?Topper? Adam Topping, Brent Reed, Bob Reed, Darren Politte, Joe Summers and Honorary Pallbearers were Kenny Boyster and Mason Snowdell._.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
