Darrell Cook

November 6, 1956 — February 9, 2017

Darrell Wayne Cook of Caledonia, Missouri was born on November 6. 1956 in Farmington a son to the late James Cook and the late Melba (Bayless) Cook-Brewer. On October 8, 1993 Darrell was united in marriage to Phyllis Goodson in Potosi and they shared twenty-three years together.

Darrell fell asleep in death on February 9, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty years, three months and three days.

Darrell will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his loving and devoted wife, Phyllis Cook of Caledonia; son Christopher Cook of Caledonia; three brothers: James “Al” Cook and wife Lydia of Farmington; Steve Cook and wife Cindy of Fredericktown; Ron Bayless and wife Debbie of Sullivan; four sisters: Velma Bell of Farmington; Cindy Wofford of Fredericktown; Sharron Jones and husband Larry of Farmington; Janet Wolk and husband John of Ste. Genevieve; mother-in-law Winona Goodson of Potosi; also surviving are many very special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by one son Darrell Wayne Cook Jr. and his father-in-law John Goodson.

Darrell was a good and faithful man, he loved his family and felt privileged to be one of Jehovah's witnesses. He loved everyone in the congregation especially the kids, he loved to aggravate them and try to make them laugh. Darrell enjoyed his little sheep farm and loved a simple and pleasant life. Until we see him again in the promised resurrection he will be missed and we will treasure the time we had with him.

Visitation will be held at the DeClue Funeral Home Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel Thursday following the visitation at 1 p.m. with Elder Alan Aubuchon officiating. Honoring Darrell by serving as pallbearers are Nathaniel Skiles, Frank Skiles, Matt Graff, Chad Schrum,
Randy Shepard, Rocky Goodson, Jeremy Aubuchon and Donnie Battreal.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Palmer Cemetery. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Darrell during this time of remembrance.
