Cynthia Walburn

Sister Cynthia Ann Walburn of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 30, 2012 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of sixty years, five months and twenty one days. She was born on April 9, 1952 in Jefferson County, Missouri a daughter to the late Willard Voorhees and Patsy (Brand) Voorhees.

Those who are rejoicing with her in Glory are her parents Patsy (Jacob) Paulus; Willard (Geneva) Voorhees; her precious Roland (Jessie) Price and her grandson Simon Laird.

On August 16, 1971, Cyndee married the love of her life Lary Walburn. This wonderful union brought forth three devoted children, Laura (Johnny) Laird of Irondale; Lary Shane Walburn and fiancé Amber Lawson of Brentwood; Connie (Randy) Jurczyk of Potosi. Along with these precious children were four exceptional stepchildren, Roxanne (Paul) Moyer of North Dakota; Cathy (Scott) Newville of Michigan; Troy (Trish) Walburn of Michigan; Sherry (Darren) Kennedy of Kentucky. As our family wasn't blessed enough, Willie Harris became a son to the family too. The jewels in her crown were her grandchildren and step grandchildren. Four brothers blessed her life William (Teresa) Voorhees; Willy (Lisa) Voorhees; Kenny (Libby) Voorhees and Larry (Judy) Martin. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are left to wait until we join her again.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2 PM at the New Diggins Church with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Jurczyk, John Laird, Bill Voorhees, Tom Brewington, Kenny Hedrick, Taylor Laird, Willie Harris, Marvin DeClue, Dan St. John and Ben Loveless.

Interment and final prayers were held at the New Diggins Cemetery.
