Clifford L. Radford of Park Hills, Missouri departed this life on March 2, 2009 at his residence having reached the age of seventy one years, three months and nine days. He was born on November 21, 1937 at West Fork, Missouri, a son to the late Morgan Radford and Gettie Kavanaugh Radford.
On March 16, 1956, Clifford married Shirley Radford and they shared almost fifty years together. Mrs. Radford preceded him in death on January 3, 2006.
Clifford was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a good neighbor and if you ever needed a ride, Clifford was the one to call. No matter what day or time, he was one of the most reliable people you could ever know. He was a dedicated worker for Hy-C Company for over forty years. That was his second love. Shirley was his first. He was loved by many and will be missed by everyone. He will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Radford; sister Alma Huskey; brother David Radford and a granddaughter in law Brenda Radford.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are three sons Clifford Radford, Jr. and wife Denise of Fenton; Robert Radford, Sr. and wife Shelia of Park Hills; William Paul Radford of Park Hills; three daughters Pam Cunningham of Farmington; Rosemary De Rousse of Park Hills; Rose Marie Friend and husband Byford of Caulfield, MO; step son Kevin Radford of Rolla; companion Juanita Ham; two sisters Dorothy Dean of Park Hills; Shirley Ann Armstrong of Richwoods; two brothers Bill Radford and wife Betty of Desoto; Bob Radford and wife Alice of Park Hills; eleven grandchildren April Radford, Tiffany Rdford, Robert Creamer and wife Tiffany, Walter Radford and wife Alice, Jason Radford and wife Dorothy, Micheal DeRousse, Robert Radford Jr., Melissa Friend, Joshua Friend and wife Lindsay, and Jesse Friend and wife Selena; twelve great grandchildren Alisha, Devon, Kelsey, Christopher, Allan, Shane, Kayla, Lydia, Caelob, Maxx, Carter, and Calob; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Robert Creamer officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Walter Radford, Clifford Radford, Jason Radford, Robert Radford, Jr., Joshua Friend and Jesse Friend.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Radford Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
