Clifford Alvin Daily of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his residence, having reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 19 days. He was born at Waco, Texas on February 27, 1927, a son of the late Paul Irvin Daily and Nellie Esther (Goldsmith) Daily.
On November 9, 1944, he married Mildred White at San Diego, CA and they shared over sixty-two years of marriage together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. For many years he was a Superintendent at General Motors in St. Louis. He was happiest spending time with his family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids.
In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleo and Forrest Daily.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Mildred Daily of Potosi; a son, Dannie Daily of Potosi; two daughters, Anita Politte of St. Louis and Carolyn Corno and husband Jim of Chicago; three brothers, Carroll Daily and wife Nancy of Waco, TX, Clarence Daily and wife Betty of Waco, TX, Kenneth Daily of Waco, TX; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Bill Warren and Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Politte, Jimmy Corno, Zachary Kennon, Dennie Kennon, D.J. Politte and Pat DeClue.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
