Clenton Harrison Vincent of Hopewell, Missouri departed this life on September 29, 2008, having reached the age of 74 years 9 months and 22 days. He was born on December 7, 1933 at Campbell, Missouri, a son of the late Jake Vincent and Dortha Cullum Vincent.
Clenton served in the United States Navy for 4 years as a Machinist Mate. During this period of time, Clenton received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After serving time in the Navy, Clenton pursued his career as a machinist working for Boeing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorthy Vincent, brother Bob Vincent, 2 sisters Vivian Stewart and Carolyn Murr.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter Beverly McGuirk and husband Sean of Blackwell, a son Bradley Vincent and wife Chris of Hopewell, two brothers Chester Vincent and Carl Vincent both of Campbell, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel with Chester Vincent officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brad Cook, Ryan McGuirk, Sean McGuirk, Jake Vincent, and Tony Brune.
Interment and final prayers were held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
