Cleda Mayfield

Cleda Merlene Mayfield of Bonne Terre, Missouri departed this life on February 11, 2011 at the St. Johns Mercy Hospital having reached the age of sixty five years, four months and four days. She was born on October 7, 1945 at St. Louis City, Missouri a daughter to the late Robert Politte and Rose (Lee) Politte.
On July 1969, Cleda was united in marriage to Larry Mayfield and they shared forty one years together.
Cleda was a member of the House of Praise Church in Desloge.
In addition to her parents, Cleda was preceded in death by a brother David Politte; four brothers in law Willis King, Donnie Littrell, Howard Eckhoff and Bill Nicholson.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are son Larry Mayfield, Jr. of Bonne Terre; sister Delores Eckhoff of Mineral Point; one grandchild J.J. Mayfield; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 3 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Rick Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Wild, Dylan Eckhoff, Scot Eckhoff, Mike Eckhoff, Greg Riddle and Larry Mayfield, Jr.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
