Claudean Gamble

November 27, 1923 — July 17, 2005

Claudean E. Gamble of Potosi, Missouri, departed this life on July 19, 2005 at her residence, having reached the age of 81 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was born on November 27, 1923 at Annapolis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Charles C. West and Nellie (Jackson) West.
Claudean was united in marriage to Edward Gamble on March 9, 1938 and to that union two children were born. Claudean and Ed shared over 67 years of marriage. She was a member of the Irondale Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her parents, Claudean was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Santhuff, Pearl Henry, Wilma Lee West and Pearl Russell; two brothers, John White and Dick West; and two grandsons, Douglas Gamble and Tony Gamble.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Rev. Edward Gamble; her son, Thomas Gamble and wife Doris of Potosi; her daughter, Charlotte Berry and husband Everett of Decatur, AR; a sister Mable Sago of Edmond, OK; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Gamble and wife Mary, Julia Nipper and husband Jason, Dennis Berry and wife Jerri, Timothy Berry and wife Candace and Andrew Berry; one granddaughter-in-law, Cheryl Sitzes; ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Firman Gettinger and Rev. Don Strauser officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeffrey Gamble, Jason Nipper, Dennis Berry, Tim Berry, Andrew Berry, Dustin Berry, Jared Berry and Matthew Gamble.
Interment was in Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home.
