Claude Christian

Claude Gilbert Christian of Kennett, Missouri departed this life on May 12, 2014 at St. Bernards Hospital having reached the age of seventy four years, eleven months and twenty five days. He was born on May 17, 1939 in Senath, Missouri a son to the late Claude Christian and Mamie (Robinson) Christian.
In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his step father Earnest Bailey, two granddaughters Jessica Christian, Nikki Fisher, two brothers Harold Christian, Hubert Christian and a sister Bonnie Case.
On December 2, 1957, Claude was united in marriage to Marie A. Jolly and they shared fifty six years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Marie Christian of Kennett; four sons Michael Christian and wife Brenda of Imperial, Fred Christian and wife Janette of St. Louis, Gary Christian and wife Kelli of Manchester, Roger Christian and wife Patti of Koshkong; daughter Janet Christian of Kennett; brother in law Bill Case of Kentucky; two sisters in law Marion Christian of Florida, Sadie Christian of Arkansas; special friends Don Halstad, The Johnson Family, Buck Nash; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Christian, Fred Christian, Gary Christian, Roger Christian, Michael Christian and Jason Christian.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
