Clara Moses

Clara LaVerne Moses of Potosi, Missouri passed away on March 6, 2016 at the NHC Health Care Center having reached the age of eighty one years, five months, and nine days. She was born on September 28, 1934 in Gumbo, Missouri, a daughter to the late William Ross and the late Hilda (Mitchell) Ross. On March 16, 1964, Clara was united in marriage to her beloved late husband, Jewell Moses.

Clara is survived by her seven children: Marilyn Rawson of Gumbo; Marvin Oker and wife Teresa of Desloge, Lee Oker and wife Florita of Potosi; Mary Tesson and husband Richard of Oklahoma; Michael Moses and wife Janice of Potosi; Vickey Byington and husband Eric of Troy; Rick Moses and wife Lesli of Potosi; five step children: Vern Moses and wife Mary of St. Louis; Darlene Weihl and husband Richard of Illinois; Arline Kupke and husband John of Maryland; Jack Moses of Potosi; and Barbara Zlataric and husband John of Illinois; siblings: Wm. Bill Ross of Park Hills and Bonnie Skaggs of Farmington; daughters-in-law: Dee Moses Williams, Edna Moses and Linda Moses; also a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Jewell, Clara is preceded in death by her step sons: Bill Moses, Delain Moses, Lovell Moses, Robert Moses, and Daniel Moses; brother-in-law: Bob Skaggs; granddaughter: Milissa Moses; grandson: Timothy West; and siblings: Lemme Ross, Lena Lucy, Patricia Kupke, Norris "Dick" Ross, Linda Ross, Wayne Ross, and Joe Ross.

Visitation for Clara will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Scott Hammond officiating assisted by Rev. Dale Stringer.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Antioch Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
