Clara Mae Coleman

Clara Mae Coleman of Mineral Point, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of eighty seven years, ten months and twenty days. She was born on May 9, 1928 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to the late Roy Higgins and the late Clara Mary (Coleman) Higgins.

On May 15, 1945, Mae was united in marriage to John O. Coleman and there were two sons and one daughter born to this union.

Mae is survived by one son, William O. Coleman Sr. and wife Brenda of Mineral Point, Missouri; one daughter Helen Hochstatter and husband John of Mineral Point; seven grandchildren John Jeffery Hochstatter and wife Debbie, Clarissa M. Rackovan and husband Joseph, Maegan L. King and husband Brock, William O. Coleman Jr. and wife Sherri, Christopher R. Coleman and wife Kim, Randy James Coleman II and wife Angie and Samuel C. Coleman and wife Brianna; eighteen grandchildren Jeremy, Camern, Holli, JT, Jayleigh, Cayden, Connor, Bennett, Adalie, Mackenzie, Timothy, Tristin, Isabella, Willow, Koen, Corban, Olivia and Kaleb; three great great grandchildren Gavin, Ava and Chloe; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Clara Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband John O. Coleman on June 23, 1978; son Randy James Coleman; daughter-in-law Phyllis Jean Coleman; granddaughter Bethany Renee Coleman; great grandson Deason Coleman; six brothers Orville L. Higgins, Burl J. Higgins, Junior T. Higgins, Edward J. Higgins, Harold J. Higgins and Paul E. Higgins; two sisters Jane E. Callahan and Myrna Boyer.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 9:30-11:45 am at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, April 2, at 12 Noon at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Rodger Fleming officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Calvary Cemetery. Honoring Mae by serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Hochstatter, JT Hochstatter, Sam Coleman, Jamie Coleman, Chris Coleman and Billy O. Coleman.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
