Christopher Michael Portell of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Potosi, Missouri, was born on May 16, 1972 in Farmington, Missouri, a son to Charles John Portell and Phyllis Anne (Coleman) Portell. Chris departed this life on April 15, 2022 at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 30 days.
Chris lived life to the fullest. He was adventurous and often had to travel frequently with work including internationally. Chris was Director of Operations with Airxcele who manufactured awnings for luxury tour buses. Chris was always up for a round of golf, watching Nascar Races, bowling, or going to his son, Karstan’s hockey game, and watching Cardinal's baseball. He loved his son and was so very proud of him and his accomplishments. Chris was one of his greatest fans. He will be forever loved.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his son, Karsten Portell; mother, Phyllis Portell; brother, Scott Portell (wife, Carolyn); mother of his son, Amy Behrens Portell; niece, Lindsey Portell; and nephew, Blake Portell.
Chris was preceded in passing by his father, Charles Portell; grandparents: Steven Anthony Portell and Lucille Cecillia (Bone) Portell; Bernard and Dolly (Chamberlain) Coleman.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Tony Dattilo will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105 or St. Francois Cancer Center of Tulsa, OK.
