Cheryl Belfield

Cheryl Diane Belfield of Potosi departed this life on February 27, 2013 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital having reached the age of sixty four years, three months and nine days. She was born on November 18, 1948 in Hopewell, Missouri a daughter to the late Donald Lawson and Modell (Collins) Lawson.

On January 5, 1963, Diane was united in marriage to James Belfield and they shared forty nine years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her devoted husband of forty nine years James "Jim" Belfield of Potosi; son Michael Shane Belfield and wife Jennifer of St. Louis; daughter in law Tammy Belfield of Potosi; Patty Allen mother of Mick and Hunter; five brothers Donnie Lawson and wife Sherry of Denver, Colorado, Randall Lawson and wife Lynna of Lebanon, Missouri, Rodney Lawson of Hopewell, Bryan Lawson and wife Debbie of Hopewell, Dennis Lawson and wife Marsha of Cape Girardeau, two sisters Carolyn Bowles and husband Dean of Hopewell, Vickie Lawson-Johnson and husband Bill of St. Louis; six grandchildren Mick Belfield and significant other Jamie, Hunter Belfield and wife Kallie, Emily Belfield, Austin Belfield, Victor Adams, Sheena Adams, MaryAnna Allen, Hannah Allen, and Thad Allen; close friends Velma Miller, Janet Politte and Donna Fraley; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by a son Jim Belfield, granddaughter Sarah Katherine Allen and a niece Pam Dudley.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1 PM at the DeClue chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Belfield, Mick Belfield, Hunter Belfield, Sam Johnson, Cameron Dudley, Garrett Arnold.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
