Charlotte Marie Smith of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 52 years, 1 month and 22 days. She was born on September 11, 1954 at St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Joseph Rulo and Ethel (Lane) Rulo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Rulo; a brother, Christopher Rulo; a sister Alfreda Rulo; and a special Aunt and Uncle, Ed and Kathleen Rulo.
On May 3, 1986, Charlotte was united in marriage to Dale Smith and a daughter was born to that union. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a dear sister, cousin and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include her husband, Dale Smith; her daughter, Tammy Hinkle and husband James of Mineral Point; a brother, Greg Rulo and wife Patty of Benton; a sister, Betty Jo Buck of St. Louis; special cousins, Lisa, Danny, Tammy and Brian; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Melvin Crider officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Cecil Davis, Brian Rulo, Brian Emily, Michael Wilson, Cliff Vance and Matt Crider.
Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
