Charley Owens

Charley Olen James Henry Owens, of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on February 16, 1936 in Shirley, Missouri, a son of the late John Thomas Owens and the late Nellie Mae (Cain) Owens. On November 27, 1964, Charley was united in marriage to Janet Rea and there were six children born to this union. Charley passed away on May 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of eighty-three.

In addition to his parents, Charley is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Owens; grandson, Jared Owens; siblings: Harry, Raymond, Mamie, Thelma, Clifford, Melford, Russell, Lillie, Herbert, Grace, Berdie, McCoy, Pearl, Cecil, Sadie, Clyde and two infant siblings.

Survivors include his six children: Dennis Owens, Angie (Kenneth) Blair, Gary (Lisa) Owens, Karen (Lonnie) Johnson, Kenny Owens, Niki Owens; ten grandchildren: Kayla (Wade) Pashia, Ashley (Justin) Ivester, Michael Denoyer, Jeremy Blair, NaKiesha Owens, Whitney Owens and Fiancé Jerad Marler, Michael Byerly, Sarah Johnson, Seth Caruthers, Jasmine Caruthers, DaKota Allen and Jeremy Allen; great grandchildren: Sadie, Elsie, Shawn, Shane, Jackson, Luci, Kyler, Zander, Amelia, Lily and Kora; great great grandson, Maximus; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
