Charles Roy Strange of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on October 15, 2012 at his residence having reached the age of seventy nine years, eight months and thirteen days. He was born on February 2, 1933 in Shirley, Missouri a son to the late Roy Daniel Strange and Hallie (Sheppard) Strange.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Banning) Strange.
Charles served in the United States Air force from March 1953 ~ March 1957.
Charles was a member of the Potosi 1st Assembly of God. He had a great love for his family. He also loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and water skiing with family and friends. He excelled during his high school years playing basketball and baseball. He loved living and working on his farm.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his son Robert Strange and wife Karen of Potosi; three brothers Rolla (Joyce) Strange of Potosi; Carl (Mary) Strange of Park Hills; Donald (Janet) Strange of Nixa; sister Lohma (Frank) Trokey of Potosi; grandchild Jacob Strange; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jamie Strange, Jeff Strange, Barry Strange, Ron Cash, David Cash and Dan Banning.
Interment and final prayers were held at the New Masonic Cemetery with full military honors presented by the United States Air force and Local VFW Post #6996. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
