Charles Skaggs

Charles Lee Skaggs of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty one years, ten months and twenty days. He was born on August 13, 1932 in Mineral Point, Missouri a son to the late Charles Skaggs and Lettie (Wilkerson) Skaggs.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Daphnea Portell Reando Skaggs, brothers Walter Skaggs, Hurst Skaggs, Everett Skaggs, Ralph Skaggs, James Skaggs, Paul Skaggs, Robert Skaggs, Clyde Skaggs, Leon Skaggs and sisters Ima Mitsinger, Dorothy Turntine, Virgie Clapper and Virginia Gibson.
Charles served in the United States Army.
Charles is survived by three step daughters Patsy Williams and husband Glen of Cadet, Linda Boyer of Bonne Terre, Dorothy Reando of Belgrade; special friend Russell Ames of Belgrade; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Russell Ames, Mark Ames, Keith Cantrell, Brian Malloy and Chris Richards.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
