Charles Richard “Butch” Mouser 72, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, August 5, 2021, in Shreveport, LA. He was born August 27, 1948, in St. Louis, MO to Jan and Charles Mouser.
Butch was a longtime employee with General Motors, retiring after 37 years. He was a faithful man with a caring heart and a member of the Word of God Ministries. Butch was both a Mason and a member of the Shriners. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved to hunt, a love that he passed on to his family. The stories he told, and his personal presence will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mr. Mouser was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Estelle and Charles Mouser; mother, Jan Golden; three sisters, Veronica Mouser, Mary Myers and Kathy Hittler. He is survived by his daughter, Pam Hostetler and husband Richard; two grandchildren, Drew Hostetler and Dillon Hostetler and fiancé Hannah Wied; sister, Pat Hill and husband David; brother, John Mouser; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of great friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 12 pm until the time of service at 1 pm held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664. Interment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
