Charles Morgan

Charles Thomas Morgan of Belgrade, Missouri passed away on June 12, 2015 at his residence having reached the age of seventy eight years, two months, and twenty days. He was born on March 23, 1937 a son to the late Charles Otis and Sara Eathel (Lawson) Morgan. On July 27, 1956, Charles was united in marriage to his beloved wife Lucille (Thompson) Morgan. Together they shared fifty eight years of marriage and had two sons. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Lucille Morgan of Belgrade, Missouri; two sons: Bruce Morgan and wife Vickie of Potosi, Missouri and Dale Morgan and Fiancé Kelly Adams of Caledonia, Missouri; two brothers: Roy “Jerry” Morgan and wife Velta of Quitman, Arkansas and Robert Morgan and wife Rhonda of Frankclay, Missouri; three sisters: Faye Johnston, Shirley Hollinsworth and husband Leo, and Shelia Beck – all of Potosi, Missouri; two grandchildren: Samantha and Cole Morgan; brother and sister-in-laws; and many other extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his two sisters: Jean Warden and Betty Nora Skiles; brother Bill Morgan; three brother-in-laws: Glenn Johnston, William Beck, and Fred Skiles; and one sister in law: Dixie Morgan. Visitation for Charles will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home and will resume on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilkenson officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the VFW Post 6996. Honoring Charles by serving as his pallbearers will be Jerry “Spark” Beck, Gerald Beck, Nathan Boyer, Ricky Hollinsworth, Glenn Honey, and Jimmy Morgan. Interment and final prayers will be held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
