Charles Wesley Missey of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on February 11, 2007 at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri. He was born on November 29, 1916 at Bourbon, Missouri, a son of the late Albert Missey and Mary (Stroupe) Missey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 63 ? years, Alma Fatchett, who passed away on February 6, 2002. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Mary and a son, Leroy; three brothers, Clarence, Wilburn and Preston Missey; and four sisters, Ethel Wilkins, Mae Jones, Laura Drennen and Martha Shaer.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter, Glenda Hammack Burke and husband, Jim Burke of Arcadia; a brother, Lawrence Missey and wife, Jo Ann of Mineral Point; a sister, Viola Kincaid of Sullivan; four grandchildren; one step grandson; eight great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Hammack, Ricky Drennen, Stanley Drennen, Wesley Kean, Darrell Missey and Kenny Drennen.
Interment and final prayers were held at Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
