Charles Clifford Missey of Berryman, Missouri departed this life on March 21, 2007 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, having reached the age of 83 years, 11 months and 18 days. He was born on April 3, 1923 at Blackwell, Missouri, a son of the late Elliott Missey and Rose (Moss) Missey.
Clifford as he was known to many, was a life long resident of Washington County. He was united in marriage to Pressie May Coffman on July 13, 1946 and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2000. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by six brothers Leo. Lester, Jack, Vincent, Joe and William Missey and five half sisters Margaret, Minty, Gertrude, Ida and Lucinda.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter Catherine Roy and fianc? David of Caledonia; two grandsons, Charles Danny Missey and fianc? Jennifer of Potosi and William Gene Roy of Caledonia; a sister, Florence Kemper of Park Hills; many special nieces and nephews, a special niece, Eula Ennis; special friends, April Missey and Wilma Marler; eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Roger Taber officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at Berryman Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
